However, this doesn’t mean that batch download photos from Google Photos app isn’t possible. It’s just a bit tricky. And if you’re working on it, here are the steps you’ve to follow to batch download photos from Google Photos at once from the app and the web both on Android and PC.
From Google Photos App – Android
1. If you have the Google Photos app installed, open the app and sign in.
2. Once you’re in, long press on a photo until you see a blue checkmark in its top-left corner.
3. Keep your finger hold and move it across the photos you want to download.
4. When you’re done, tap the Share button in the bottom left corner.
5. From the Share menu that opens, select More in the ‘Share to apps’ section and choose ‘Copy too…’.
Then, Google Photos makes everything ready and takes you to your device’s File Manager app. Create a new folder/prefer the existing one and hit Paste.
That’s it. Everything you’ve selected will be copied to the folder you’ve chosen within seconds. Back up everything with a single click.

From Google Photos Web – PC
1. From your default web browser, visit photos.google.com and sign in.
2. After all your photos are loaded, select one photo by clicking the white checkmark at its top-left corner.
3. Now, move to the last photo and then press and hold the Shift key and select the last photo.
4. You’ll notice that all the photos between the first and last turned blue. And the number of selected photos will show up at the top-left corner of the page.
5. To download all the selected ones, click on the three dots (ellipsis) icon at the top right and select Download or use the key combination Shift + D.
Finally, all that you’ve selected will be saved on your PC in a zip file. Once the download is finished, extract the zip.
From Google Photos Web – Mac
1. Go to photos.google.com and sign in.
2. After all your photos are loaded, click on Settings ( the gear icon) in the top left.
3. Scroll down to Export your data and expand it using the drop-down menu.
4. Select Backup and redirect to the Google Takeout page.
5. If you’d like to take everything out of Google Photos, hit Next step.
6. Now, you’ll be presented with a range of export options. Select Frequency, File type & Size.
7. Once your settings are sorted, click Create export.
PS: Depending on the size of your photo library, this can take anywhere from a few minutes to several hours. So, please be patient.
8. When your download is ready, you’ll be redirected to the ‘Manage your exports page’.
9. Click the Download button and re-enter your password to start the download.
10. After successful download, extract the zip file to view all your photos.
